NHAI plans to construct bypass project in Uttar Pradesh

Roads/ Highways/ Bridges: National Highways Authority of India has plan to construct four lane of Varanasi Bypass project which is being implemented from km 0.000 (km 271,300 of NH-56) to km 15.250 (km.11.170 of NH-29) covering 16.55 km. Apco Infratech Pvt Ltd is the contractor. Around 35% of the work is completed so far. The project was estimated to complete by May, 2017. As of now, the project is lagging due to protest from local villagers even as land acquisition has been completed at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
