Preca Solutions India Pvt Ltd stormed away a major winner at the 9th CIDC Vishwakarma Awards 2017 by sweeping five awards across several categories including the coveted ‘Best Professionally Managed Company’ title.

The Annual CIDC Vishwakarma Awards honour the work and achievements of individuals and organisations which have succeeded in delivering better outputs and processes and are creating higher benchmarks for the construction industry. It is aimed at giving recognition to projects and organisations that have significantly enriched the construction domain and have helped bring about a positive change in construction practices. These awards are organised by Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), set up by the Planning Commission, Government of India to act as an apex body that is dedicated to work relentlessly towards promoting best practices with the Indian construction industry.

“Preca is immensely pleased and proud to state that we have not only won the ‘Best Professionally Managed Company’ award but also that four different projects executed by us have been chosen as the Best Construction Projects in their respective categories,” the company said issuing a stetement.

Infosys Limited chose precast technology to expand the facilities at their existing campus in Gachibowli, Hyderabad as it is the only methodology which causes least disturbance to the functioning of their fully operational campus. Additionally, the advantages of using precast technology in the construction of parking structures are many and varied. The multi-level vehicle parking, a ground plus 4-storey structure with a total built up area of 1,50,000 sq. ft. was executed in 6 months time. Utmost care was taken towards executing the project while causing minimum disturbance to the campus which has over 10,000 employees working in it. This project is a perfect demonstration of the effectiveness of Precast Technology over CIP Construction and thus has won the ‘Best Pre-Engineered Building Award’.

The Crematorium Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam situated in Filmanagar, Hyderabad, a CSR Project executed by Preca in association with Phoenix Foundation is an eco-friendly crematorium site offering its services to the public. It unique architecture is designed so as to accommodate the Hindu cremation rituals, culturally and contextually. The structure was built with precast wall panels and hollow core slabs and the walls are engraved with verses from the Gita. This project has won the ‘Best Construction Project’ in the Social Infrastructure category.

In order to further their illustrious cause and fulfil their motto “So that all may see”, the illustrious LV Prasad Eye Institute resolved to expand their facilities at their Centre of Excellence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The result was the Velamati Sowbhagyavathamma Building a ground plus 4-storey 1,12,000 sq. ft. precast structure built in 4 months’ time. Preca has worked with the institute in developing infrastructure for accommodating and improving their facilities so that they can serve more people. Preca was awarded ‘Best Construction Project’ by CIDC for this project in Healthcare Infrastructure category.

Also, DE Shaw-Phoenix Edifice in Hyderabad constructed by Preca for Phoenix Infrastructure Pvt Ltd has won the ‘Best Construction Project’ award in the Urban Infrastructure category.

It is immense achievement to have been the recipient of these awards, a clear indication to the growth and the diversity achieved by our company,” the company statement adds.

The formal ceremony held on 7th March at Stein Auditorium, New Delhi was attended by Preca’s Satish G, MD and Sridhara CN – HOD (Tech & Marketing) where they were conferred with the awards.
