Visakhapatnam railway division plans to set up rooftop solar panels in Andhra Pradesh

Solar Energy: East Coast Railway Waltair or Visakhapatnam railway division is one of the three divisions of East Coast Railway Zone (ECoR) of the Indian Railways. The Waltair railway division plans to set up rooftop solar panels on Vizag Railway Station and five other service buildings by February 2017. The rooftop solar panels is likely to generate upto 1 MW of power. The project will be implemented in PPP mode at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. East Coast Railway Waltair has plan to invests around Rs. 8 Crore.
