Evolution of designer bathrooms

In a timeline when international design trends are in vogue customers want their bathrooms to be well designed too.

How do you see the Indian market for your products?
At Johnson Bathrooms all our products have been designed with a consumer-centric approach. Demand for designer and latest technology bathroom products is increasing day-by-day and our industry is growing at an avg. rate of 20 to 25 percent YOY, amounting to Rs. 20,000 crores. The average age of today’s consumer purchasing a new house has reduced to 30-35 years from the earlier 35-45 years age bracket. Now-a-days, bathrooms have gained importance as a part of the house. With the increasing purchasing power, consumers are now spending on an average of Rs. 3-5 lacs in doing up a single bathroom, with an increasing preference for latest, efficient water-saving and long-life products.

Tell us something about your recent launch Johnson International with brand ambassador Katrina Kaif.

Talk about your new innovations in the premium range of sanitaryware and faucets.
Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We have in our range WCs with water-saving technology that needs only 4.5 lts of water, a big saving as compared to the conventional 6 litre water capacity, thereby saving an average of 1 million litres of water every day. Johnson is working on introducing a new age thermostatic master control that will provide a constant temperature premixed water to the whole bathroom using a single pipe. This will not only help in saving water but also reduce the cost of installing separate hot and cold pipes.

What according to you is the USP of your products?
At Johnson,we follow high quality standards specified in ISO9001. Our products are made using the latest technology in our own plants and tested individually as per set quality standards.
