Northeast Frontier Railway plans to construct second line in Assam

Railway: Northeast Frontier Railway has plan to undertake construction of second line between New Bongaigaon and Kamakhya in Assam covering length of 176-km. The project is recently approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The completion is targeted during 12th and 13th Plan period at Bongaigaon in Assam. Northeast Frontier Railway has plan to invests around Rs. 2,232.32 Crores.
