Veneta Cucine is a family-run company which was founded more than half a century ago and over the years has steadily grown from a small local enterprise into a major multinational group. Today it is Italy’s most important manufacturer of kitchen furniture.

The company has succeeded in innovating over time, moving from an entrepreneurial model to a managerial one: Italian industrial excellence that has evolved thanks to the enlightened vision of its founder, now joined by his children and a team of managers, who have been designated to the various areas of competence. The company was founded in 1967 in the province of Treviso, and in 1978 changed its name to Veneta Cucine Spa.

Lounge: new modularity, new proportions, new combinations
Lounge is an innovative kitchen system created as an extension of the Essence line, and offers a new and more evolved interpretation of the concept of maximum functionality, re-interpreting the importance of combining quality and day-to-day requirements to make the kitchen area even more comfortable, functional and attractive – truly the heart of the home.

The key elements of Lounge relate to the new proportions: the storage space is increased thanks to the extra dimensions of the wall-units and cupboards (the height of the plinth has been reduced to 8 cm) and the new design standards which have made its styling even more modern and sophisticated, with the use of new and perhaps unorthodox materials: refined woods or special machining, semi-matt or glossy lacquer finishes and the new liquid metal finish, Fenix laminates, decorative elements and steel.

The design of this kitchen is further enhanced by Scrigno, a system of column units whose doors open into the lateral panels to reveal household appliances or create a new type of pantry unit.

The Scrigno column units are designed principally to hide accessories and household appliances from sight, but also to house a specially-fitted area with two shelves and LED lighting, a tower fitted with electric sockets, a removable steel shelf and a 120 cm base unit with two drawers and an internal basket. A range of different compositions can be created by combining one- or two-door Scrigno column units.

The system of aperture used for Lounge features a flat recess into which a handgrip is inserted along the width of the door (GO) or the ShellSystem structure – the evolution of the “shell” construction system – or the Pro profile strip running along the edge of the door.

The combination of different materials is the element linking the various parts of this composition: Abete Ossidato, a wood with a long history of elegance and refinement, is the distinguishing feature of the central island and the rear panels, while the gleaming, futuristic Metallo Liquido Bronzo finish enhances the column units, the upper wall units and the living-area cupboards to the left of the kitchen area.
