What is minimum facility in a multi-storey apartment?

 It is often a matter of discussions and concern for builders and people buying the apartments. It is seen that most of high-end apartments have all kinds of facilities. But what about the apartments for common people? Do they have all facilities as required? Normally the builder gets to decide what facility is provided. But can there be a check-off list? We have tried to make a list with most common facility that is a kind of must. This list is not exhaustive and can be modified as per requirement.
1. Community services combined with • Club, gym, yoga centre, marriage/function  hall • Jogging, walking, acupressure tracks, bicycle tracks  • Adequate greenery with garden • Playing  areas for children • Adequate shade and benches.
2. Barrier free and security and parking services combined with • Secured and 24/7 manned gates adequate security guards  • CCTV to cover all common area, parking area  and lifts • Intercom connecting  apartments, lifts and guard room• Access control with card or biometric systems  • Safety from monkey menace and stray dogs etc.• Adequate parking and residents and  guests • Barrier free access in whole building
3. Fire control services • Alarm systems
4. Adequate 24/7 water and sewage services combined with • Water storage and water purifier  • Leakage proof distribution system
5. Adequate 24/7 electrical power services combined with • Proper earthing and short circuit protection• Adequate generators and inverter back up  • Auto on / off common area lights and water pumps • LED lights and solar energy plant
6. Housekeeping services • Cleaning, collection, segregation and disposal  of garbage • Adequate staff
7. Passenger and service bed stretcher lifts combined with • Adequate number and speed to get enough handling capacity • Sufficient width and height to make transport of goods easy• Handicap user friendly and framed glass doors in lifts
8. Support staff facilities• Servant quarters • Rest area, wash room, toilets for maintenance staff / drivers etc.
9. Maintenance and repair services  • Plumber, electrician and CCTV• Carpenter
10. Rainwater harvesting• Collection and distribution • Use of rainwater for Gardens 
11. Dish antenna and Wi-Fi
12. Early warning system for earthquake.
