Introduced intelligent and energy-saving building solutions at ACREX 2017

Power and thermal management solutions provider Delta India, part of Delta Group, introduced integrated Delta Building Solutions at ACREX 2017 held in Greater Noida recently.

According to Dalip Sharma, Managing Director of Delta India, Delta’s Building Solutions are capable of inter-compatibility with Delta’s full-spectrum of energy-saving, energy generation and energy storage systems such as BMS, HVAC, elevator, lighting, EV charging, PV, and more. An integral part of Delta’s portfolio is BMCS (Building Management & Control Systems), an IoT oriented, cloud-ready and all-in-one platform that enables intelligent, eco-friendly and highly-efficient management of buildings and their respective underlying sub-systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), lighting, security, power generation, and more. “Delta’s BMCS is uniquely compatible with all international communication protocols installed in buildings, including BACnet, Modbus, EnOcean, LON, M-Bus, KNX, OPC, and DALI,” Sharma claims.

Commenting on the newly launched BMCS, Rajat Bhambri, Business Head -Building Automation Business Development, Delta Power Solution India Pvt Ltd, said, “HVAC and lighting are the major consumers of energy in a building. With the acquisition of Delta Controls and LOYTEC in 2016, we have been able to introduce innovative building management and control platform BMCS that enables seamless integration of HVAC, lighting, home automation and energy management. Therefore it helps to improve the operation efficiency of building systems and to reduce management complexity and cost.”

Delta also showcased its industrial automation technologies focusing on its broad spectrum of AC motor drives, AC servo drives, PLCs, industrial PCs and panel PCs, HMIs, IoT routers and industrial Ethernet switches, power regeneration units, smart sensors, machine vision solutions, power meters, flow meters, temperature controllers for smart, green buildings and factories.

Explaining the competitive advantages of Delta’s building solutions, Dorota Belkowska-Woloczko, Technical Support Engineer, Building Automation Solutions BD (BASBD), Delta Energy Systems (Poland) Ltd, said, “Our systems are IP-enabled and IoT-ready which can be connected in Cloud. This facilitates efficient, automated monitoring and controlling of HVAC, lighting, energy monitoring, home automation, fire-fighting systems and access systems. In short, BMCS integrates all these operations in a building and optimises the energy usage for users’ comfort thereby minimising the cost of building operation.”

Elaborating the USPs of Delta’s controllers Bhambri adds, “Our mission is better than the best – innovation and new ideas which are different from the best. Being IP-enabled and IoT-ready, our controllers are future ready and can be used as plug-and-play which results in reducing huge costs and times in terms of eliminating wiring and reduced labour requirement. Also maintenance and downtime are reduced drastically.”

Strong credentials
Whether in cross-building, cross-regional or cross-system applications, Delta’s intelligent building solutions and products help building managers achieve optimal efficiency in their daily operations and maintenance tasks, and enhance people’s health and productivity. Since 2006, Delta has built 23 green buildings worldwide. The new Delta Americas headquarters building in Fremont, California, which has been certified as a LEED Platinum green building and is targeted to achieving the Net Zero standard. The new building is a solid example of adopting Delta Building Solutions and BMCS to improve building energy efficiency.

Bags ACREX Awards of Excellence
During the event, Delta was awarded the prestigious ACREX Awards of Excellence 2017 in the category “Innovation in Building Automation”, which include the solutions of LOYTEC, a Delta Group company. Featured for its flexibility and compatibility with international communication protocols, such as BACnet, LON and others, Delta’s Building Automation Solutions were recognised for excellence in integrating with building subsystems on a single IP-based management and remote control platform, which shortens the system integration period and achieves intelligent, energy-saving and high-efficiency buildings.

Robert Luor, General Manager of Delta’s Building Automation Solutions Business Department, said, “We are honoured to be recognised by the ACREX Awards of Excellence. Our building management software offers an all-in-one platform that integrates control and equipment operation management, and can connect to a wide range of office automation, hotel management, and property management systems. When the jury visited Delta’s booth during ACREX, they were impressed by Delta’s Building Automation solutions and its innovative software technology and various international protocols that effectively integrate heating and cooling resources, air conditioning, ventilation, lighting, electricity, security and other building facilities.”
