Joy Global, one of the worldwide leaders in the design, manufacture and field support of equipment for surface and underground mining, demonstrated innovative products and systems along with life-cycle services which make mining operations safer and more productive.
At IMME, Joy Global demonstrated the power of technology that transforms data into valuable knowledge, optimizing machine and system performance.
It also showcased a desktop training shovel simulator which used a set of controls that mimicked the touch and feel of controls applied to actual world-class P&H shovels. A large video screen displayed realistic equipment interplay with the mine environment complete with equipment performance and communication feedback.
Actual components of undercarriage and GET’S were on display to showcase the high quality and reliability of spare parts.
Through continuous videos, presentations and exclusive discussion rooms, Joy Global showcased more examples of advancing technology that help mines increase operations efficiency. These were P&H drill operator cab, the P&H LeTourneau-Series Wheel Loader SR (switched reluctance) motor technology and new training simulators.
In addition to the scaled product models and systems on display, a giant screen monitor featured Joy Global’s leadership and unparalleled direct service support, and introduced new surface and underground mining systems, including the first-of-its-kind 2650CX hybrid shovel.
