Liebherr sets new standards in productivity, reliability and cost-effective operation with the R 9100 mining excavator, exhibited at the 11th IMME. The 100-tonne excavator, which was displayed for first time at the 2010 BAUMA, is powered by a Liebherr V12 diesel engine which integrates the latest engine management system. This machine opens up new opportunities for a wide range of excavating applications.
Engineered for optimum serviceability, the R 9100 is designed to ensure fast maintenance for maximum uptime. Easily accessible from one unique side via a wide catwalk, the machine makes it easy to reach the main service points for rapid and reliable servicing. The revised single-line lubrication circuit and the fuel and oil-filter systems contribute to maximize components lifetime ensuring constant performance. Cost effectiveness is enhanced by the reduced volume of maintenance work.
The R 9100’s modern cab creates a comfortable working environment ensuring peak operator performance, every shift. The raised operator’s position and the large one-piece windscreen provide a panoramic view over the entire attachment and loading spots. The R 9100 is equipped with the new machine monitoring system, providing complete monitoring functionality and textual information enabling easy machine operation management and quick dysfunction diagnostics. Mounted on silent blocks, the R 9100’s cab design reduces vibrations and limits noise pollution to provide a quiet environment.
