Schwing Stetter India makes smart entry

In December 2014, concrete equipment manufacturing major Schwing Stetter India forayed into material handling industry with the launch of an exclusive range of Schwing-XCMG tower cranes during bC India 2014. Now, at EXCON 2015, the company has announced its entry into the earthmoving segment with the launch of an exclusive range of Schwing-XCMG wheel loaders and motor graders in India.

When asked about the future product expansion, Anand Sundaresan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Schwing Stetter India replied, “We have a big range of product line from our parent company as well as from XCMG. We will introduce only those products which really bring in synergy to our existing product range and have a potential to grow in the Indian market.” Considering these, the company has introduced the loaders, motor graders, self loading mixtures and tower cranes.

The motor grader GR150, developed with product expertise of XCMG, comes with the 6BTAA.9 6 cylinder Cummins engine. It has a two-stage fuel filtering system and is turbocharged, with dual entry to turbo charger. It has an electro hydraulic controlled power shift gear box with six forward gears and three reverse gears.

Te 3-tonne wheel loader LW300FN is powered with BS III tier turbo charged engine with 500 NM at 1,350-1,450 rpm along with 6 cylinders.

The 5-tonne wheel loader ZL50GN is useful for operations with large and heavy loads. With an engine power of 207hp, it has a tipping load of 13,600kgs.

Awaiting real estate revival
Sundaresan feels that though a lot of emphasis is given being on the road building and mining sector, revival of real estate is not even in the discussion. Sharing his concern about this he said, “Whether it is Mumbai or other metro cities, the inventory is too high. Most of the projects are delayed between 24 months to 36 months.”

Revival of real estate industry will give enough business opportunities for concrete equipment players like Schwing Stetter. “It may take 6 month to 1 year to see some real movement,” he anticipates.

Schwing Stetter India claims to be the only major concreting equipment manufacturer that displayed whole range machines at EXCON 2015. Apart from the wheel loaders and motor graders, at EXCON, Schwing Stetter India launched indigenous products to meet customer requirements. The range of the newly launched products includes:
• M30Z batching plant
• SLM 2200 self loading mixer
• RVH 18 circular distributor.

Schwing Stetter has also launched five new upgraded products and five new innovations in electronics and automation. The range of the newly upgraded products includes:
• S43 boom pump: Giant boom pump mounted on a four-axle truck
• SP1807 stationary pump
• New canopy for stationary pumps with Aerodynamic design.
• Weighbridge
• Inner climbing mechanism for tower crane.

The range of new innovation in electronics and automation includes:
• MCI 55 control system for smaller batching plants
• MCI 100 control system for medium sized batching plants
• MCI 550 control system for large sized batching plants including networking and GPS connectivity
• Electronic dozing system for shotcreting pumps
• Integrated control panels for stationary pumps.
