The company has products from 5-inch diameter to 54-inch rim diameter for vehicles ranging from trailers and forklifts to technologically advanced machines like high horsepower tractors, combines, harvesters, GPS controlled vehicles, articulated dump trucks, high-speed cranes, sophisticated port vehicles and container handlers.
One-stop shop for mining and industry needsBKT, continuing its legacy of taking gutsy decisions in business based on foresight, has ventured into the production of all steel radials since the year 2008. BKT is the first tire company in India to produce the all-steel radial OTR tires.
BKT has opened up another state-of-the-art, advanced production plant in Bhuj, Gujarat, to produce top of the line OTR tire with special focus on the radial segment.
BKT at ConMac BKT considers North-East part of India as one of their major potential markets. In an aim to enhance its foothold in this market, BKT is going to participate in forthcoming ConMac exhibition.
ConMac, the 1st edition on construction equipment exhibition for the North-East region is scheduled between 27th, 28th February and 1st March at Maniram Dewan Center, Guwahati. “BKT, being the event sponsor, plans to display its world-class radial range of OTR tyres at ConMac,” informs Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, BKT.

Bhuj Plant: green field projectThe manufacturing plant in Bhuj is the fourth manufacturing unit set up by BKT in India. The site foresees a large warehouse and a specific area of about 15 acres dedicated exclusively to research and development. The testing facility at the plant is equipped with indoor and outdoor testing areas for the products, and there is a special testing track constructed to provide for test runs and on field tests for the tyres.
BKT has invested more than $ 0.5 billion in this plant. It is expected to enhance BKT’s total capacity by 75 per cent. The company will be developing a range of radial and bias tyres in this facility.
