 The organised market for pre-engineered buildings in India is around Rs. 4,000 crore per annum. If the reports are to be believed, the market can grow at 10 per cent each year. In a conversation with ACE Update, Gautam Suri talks about India’s construction sector and how the PEB is going to add value.
Industry outlookIndia’s construction sector is forecast to grow at 7-8 per cent each year over the next decade, following the election of new government. The country will see increased economic growth, and the removal of barriers to foreign investment will spur demand for construction over the coming few years.
It isestimated that $1 trillion is going to be spent on infrastructure over the 5 years to 2017, and there is increased investment in industrial projects by the government. The outlook for the construction sector appears to be very strong.

Moreover, new opportunities will open up as steel is getting accepted as new way for construction, especially for construction in urban towns and industrial projects.
